Liveability across Auckland is scored with the Auckland Urban Liveability Index, a composite of transport, recreation, and health and social infrastructure sub-indices, and set against the New Zealand Index of Deprivation. Schools, hospitals, parks, beaches, bike lanes, train stations and bus stops sit beneath the scores. Urban planners, property investors and families comparing suburbs in New Zealand's largest city can see what drives each rating.
