Description

The Sofia Metro serves Bulgaria’s capital and was opened in 1998, making it one of the newer systems in Europe. Despite its youth, it’s rapidly expanding and known for its modern trains and efficient design. Its development has significantly reduced traffic in the city and has unearthed many archaeological sites during construction, making it both historically and practically significant.
