Widget description
The Field Calculator is available in the Layer Fields section as well as in the Layer Attribute Table widget. The Field Calculator allows users to calculate existing fields or create new ones. Some standard functions for working with text and numeric data are available to the user.

When calculating a field, the user can also apply the configured layer filter (see Figure 2). Before running the calculation, the expression must be validated using button Check.
